Στα τέλη του περασμένου μήνα η Nintendo αποκάλυψε ότι θα προσθέσει τα παιχνίδια των Nintendo 64 και SEGA Mega Drive στην υπηρεσία Nintendo Switch Online, αλλά τότε είχε αποφύγει να μιλήσει για το που θα φτάσει η τιμή της συνδρομής. Έφτασε, λοιπόν, ο καιρός να μάθουμε τη λυπητερή.
Η εταιρεία ανακοίνωσε ότι το πρόγραμμα Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack θα είναι διαθέσιμο από τις 25 Οκτωβρίου 2021 με ετήσια συνδρομή €39.99, μια τιμή που είναι σαφέστατα πολύ μεγαλύτερη από τα €19.99 του απλού πακέτου. Όπως ήταν αναμενόμενο υπήρξαν αντιδράσεις από την κοινότητα των gamers, με τη Nintendo να εμμένει σε αυτήν την πολιτική και να παροτρύνει τους χρήστες να επιλέξουν κάποιο από τα οικογενειακά πακέτα (λεπτομέρειες στο video).
