Βραβεία Όσκαρ: Ιστορική νίκη για την Apple με το CODA, δείτε όλους τους νικητές

Η Apple έγραψε ιστορία στην φετινή επεισοδιακή απονομή των βραβείων Όσκαρ, καθώς το Apple TV+ έγινε η πρώτη streaming υπηρεσία στην ιστορία που καταφέρνει να κερδίσει το Όσκαρ Καλύτερης Ταινίας χάριν στο CODA. Η ταινία ακολουθεί τον αγώνα της Ruby Rossi (Emilia Jones) ως το μοναδικό μέλος της οικογένειας της που έχει την αίσθηση της ακοής να προσπαθήσει να έχει μια ζωή μακριά τους.

Εκτός από το Όσκαρ Καλύτερης Ταινίας, το CODA κέρδισε το Όσκαρ Β’ Αντρικού Ρόλου, με τον Troy Kotsur να γίνεται ο πρώτος κωφός ηθοποιός που τα καταφέρνει μετά το 1986, όταν η συμπρωταγωνίστρια του στην ταινία (Marlee Matlin) είχε κερδίσει τον βραβείο για τον ρόλο της στο Children of a Lesser God. Επίσης, ο σκηνοθέτης - σεναριογράφος του CODA, Sian Heder, κέρδισε το βραβείο προσαρμοσμένου σεναρίου.

Αξίζει να σημειωθεί ότι το Netflix είχε τις περισσότερες υποψηφιότητες φέτος (27), αλλά πήρε μόνο το βραβείο καλύτερες σκηνοθεσίας για το The Power of the Dog. Η Apple ξόδεψε περισσότερα από $10 εκατ. Για την προώθηση του CODA στα βραβεία Όσκαρ, δηλαδή περισσότερα απ’ όσο στοίχισε η παραγωγή του.
